What is the difference between metaplasia & metastasis?
metastasis
Metastasis
Would someone please describe the process by which the metastasized tumor cells adapt to the new environment? The Danish textbook mentions that it involves interaction with the local stromal cells, but how?
Metastasis of lung cancer
I have been taught that lung cancer mostly metastazise to the brain, liver or adrenal glands. I have heard about expression of adhesion molecules or blodflow as possible explanations of this. What is your explanation of this phenomenon?

Q: Does anyone know of any relationship between the spread of tumors and lymph vessel representation in the given organ? There are always exceptions but usually carcinomas are lymphatic spread and sarcomas are hematogenous spread.

Q: 1) Do all malignant tumors metastasize? 2) A teacher told me that brain tumors never metastasize outside the brain – why is this?
