One thought on “What is the difference between following? Myelin bodies, Mallory bodies, Russel bodies, Hyalin bodies, Lewy bodies

  1. The mentioned “bodies” are different kinds of accumulations of specific structures in the cell. Each of the “bodies” is linked to specific diseases (except for myelin bodies that are lipid artifacts developing during fixation for electron microscopy). Mallory bodies are seen in steatohepatitis, Lewy bodies are seen in Alzheimer’s dementia and Russel bodies are seen in plasma cells with excessive production of immunoglobulins. Hyalin bodies and Mallory bodies are synonyms.
